Project Highlights:

Located just north of Chicago, this 100,000 square foot commercial office building has a combination of large and small office spaces, and is the new home of Mehandes Engineerings’ Chicago offices. Just minutes away from major highways, its location is extremely accessible to both suburban and city commuters. Mehandes provided HVAC  and electrical design services for the project.

Design Considerations:

Working in conjunction with Goss/Pasma Architects, the Wi-Fi Professional Center involved converting an existing office building from a single user to multi-tenant renovated high-end office suites. Newly renovated, the Wi-Fi center features a restaurant/catering facility, a large health club for tenant use, and a small ballroom for events. The main entrance and corridor boasts a 22’ ceiling with suspended archways, with a unique lighting design from within the arches by Mehandes.

Within the office spaces, Mehandes rezoned the HVAC system to individual tenant zones to provide individual control. The building’s gas and electric services were redistributed and submetered to allow individual utility billing. The team also collaborated to design various systems that would integrate with the interior design for tenant buildouts.
